What are extended networks?

Extended networks are other networks that your network may have a trust relationship with.  This trust relationship can be a one-way trust or a two-way trust.

Example two way trust extended network:
Let's say network A and network B trust each other and have authorized a two way trust.  In this case the people in both networks would be able to search, browse profiles, DM and book meetings with each other BUT people in network A would not be able to see or participate in any posts/groups or other data in network B (and vice-versa).

Example one way trust extended network:
Let's say network A extends to network B in a one way trust.  In this case the people in network A would be able to search and reach out to people in network B and people in network B would be able to respond BUT people in network B can not search, browse profiles or initiate contact with anyone in network A.

If your network has an extended network:
You will see the extended network name listed under People in the left hand menu.
You can control your request preferences in your profile for the extended networks.
